Day 1: Arrive in Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, be met and transferred to your hotel by private transfer.
Day 2: Beijing (B, L)
Visit Tian An Men Square, the largest square in the world; Forbidden City, the imperial palace of Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty from 1420 to 1911; Temple of Heaven, where emperors made sacrifices to ensure a good harvest.
Day 3: Beijing (B, L)
Visit Great Wall, a 1500-miles-long fortification across North China constructed over 2000 years ago; Ming Tombs, the cemetery for emperors of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644); on the way, have a stop for taking pictures of the 2008 Beijing Olympic sites (Bird’s Nest & Water Cube) from the outside.
Day 4: Beijing – Xian (B, L)
Visit Summer Palace, the summer retreat for emperors and their family; have a close touch to Beijing local life by Hutong tour by rickshaw. Depart to Xian by air or by high-speed train.
Day 5: Xian (B, L)
Visit Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses, which were buried over 2000 years ago with the purpose of guarding the mausoleum of Qinshihuang (the first emperor in Chinese history) and is widely known as one of the Eight Wonders of the World today; Ancient City Wall, the largest-scaled and best-preserved ancient city wall in China.
Day 6: Xian – Hangzhou (B, L)
Visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a famous Buddhist pagoda constructed in 652; Grand Mosque built in 742, a fusion of Muslim culture and Chinese architectural style; and local Muslim street. Be transferred to the airport for your evening flight to Hangzhou.
Day 7: Hangzhou (B, L)
Cruise West Lake, a freshwater lake located in the historic area of Hangzhou; walking through the old street to visit the old Chinese Traditional Herbal Medicine Museum; visit Tea Plantation and watch Chinese Tea Ceremony.
Day 8: Hangzhou – Suzhou (B, L)
Leave for Suzhou by deluxe coach. Arrive in Suzhou, visit Lingering Garden, one of the Four Great Gardens of China; Silk Factory & Silk Museum – Suzhou is well-known as a city of Chinese classic gardening and exquisite silk.
Day 9: Suzhou – Shanghai (B, L)
Visit Ancient Panmen Gate, an ancient city gate with land and water entrances for defense with a history of over 2500 years; have a walking tour on the local street to discover Suzhou. Transfer to Shanghai by train. Arrive in Shanghai, visit the Bund, which locates on the bank of Huangpu River and was once British Concession from 1844 to 1943, and the Old Shanghai area.
Day 10: Shanghai (B, L)
Visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the landmark and a good place to have a bird's-eye view of the city; Shanghai City Museum, where you will learn about the history and development of Shanghai.
Day 11: Depart from Shanghai (B)
Be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. Service ends.
