6 Days Beijing – Shanghai 

Day 1: Arrive in Beijing (D)

Arrive in Beijing, be met and transferred to your hotel. If time allows, have a Wangfujing Pedestrian Street walking tour before dinner.

 

Day 2: Beijing (B, L, D)

Visit Tian An Men Square, the largest square in the world; Forbidden City, the imperial palace of Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty from 1420 to 1911; Temple of Heaven, where emperors made sacrifices to ensure a good harvest. 

 

Day 3: Beijing (B, L, D)

Visit Great Wall, a 1500-miles-long fortification across North China constructed over 200 years ago; on the way, have a stop for taking pictures of the 2008 Beijing Olympic sites (Bird’s Nest & Water Cube) from the outside, you will also see the lovely pandas in Beijing zoo; 

 

Day 4: Beijing – Shanghai (B, L)

Visit Summer Palace, the summer retreat for emperors and their family; have a close touch to Beijing local life by Hutong walking tour. Be transferred to the train station for your overnight train to Shanghai.

 

Day 5: Shanghai (B, L, D)

Arrive Shanghai; transfer to local restaurant for breakfast; 

Visit the Bund, which locates on the bank of Huangpu River and was once British Concession from 1844 to 1943; Yu Garden, which is known as a Chinese classic garden built during the second half of the 16th century and the Old Shanghai outside the garden; Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the landmark and a good place to have a bird's-eye view of the city; and Shanghai City Museum, where you will learn about the history and development of Shanghai.

 

Day 6: Depart from Shanghai (B)

Be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. Service ends.
