The bus will pick you up at your hotels.
Drive to Ming Tombs (50 miles, about 1.5 hours’ driving), which are made up of thirteen tombs of emperors and their empresses of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), to visit Dingling – the only underground one of the thirteen opened to tourists thus far. The visit takes about 2 hours and ends at about 11:00 am.
Then you will have 45 minutes to visit the Jade Carving Factory. With a history of approximately 3000 years, Chinese jade carving enjoys great reputation in the world for its ingenuity. In ancient China, jade was seen as the symbol of good morality, which made it a common custom to take along it especially among the riches. According to shape, colour, and luster, crude jades can be cut and polished to be various shapes: figures, wares, birds, beasts, flowers, rings, hairpins, seals…
Have Chinese lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch, continue to Mutianyu Great Wall, which is known for its beautiful surroundings and as one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall. It used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. If you want to reach the highest point, the cable car is a good choice (optional).
On the way back to the city, you will have a chance to enjoy the Chinese Traditional Tea Ceremony, which is an old Chinese culture refers to how tea is prepared in China.
Drive back to your hotels at around 6:00 pm.
